What You'll Do As a Part-Time Park Police Officer, you will:

• Patrol parks, trails, facilities, and recreational areas.
• Promote public safety and enforce Park District ordinances and applicable laws.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and public concerns.
• Conduct investigations and prepare reports.
• Provide security for special events and community gatherings.
• Work collaboratively with local police, fire, and EMS agencies.
• Serve as a positive ambassador for the Crystal Lake Park District.
• Educate patrons on park safety and regulations.
• Work on weekends at least once a month.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Police Officer Certification through the Illinois Local Government Law Enforcement Officers Training Board
• Valid Driver's License
• CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Ability to pass background, medical, and psychological evaluations
