Position Details

Only applicants meeting the following requirements will be considered:

• Certified Police Officer by the ILETSB (For Lateral)
• Currently or recently employed by law enforcement agency in good standing (For Lateral)
• Must be 21 years of age by time of hire
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Valid Class D Driver's License
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• Must be able to perform the duties of a police officer
• Must exhibit good moral character and have not been convicted of any felony or certain misdemeanors which would preclude you from being a police officer in the State of Illinois
• Candidates will be required to interview with the Police Commission and successfully complete all screenings including:
• Polygraph
• Psychological
• Medical
• Physical agility test
