The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the City of Oak Forest is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Testing is being conducted for anticipated hiring needs and to establish an Eligibility List for future available positions.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:
Citizenship: Must Be a U.S. Citizen
Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License at the time of application with the ability to obtain an Illinois Driver's License upon time of hire
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years at the time of application (1/16/19). Must be under 35 years old at the time of application (1/16/19) AND at such time as the final eligibility register is posted, unless they have been certified as a full-timelaw enforcement officer in the United States, or are otherwise exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6
Education: Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement
Character: Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6
Residence: At this time there are no stated requirements for residency declared by the City of Oak Forest
Testing: Must be able to successfully complete all phases of testing
P.O.W.E.R. Card: Candidates must possess a valid P.O.W.E.R. Card issued between the dates of 1/16/18 and 1/16/19. No physical ability testing will be administered on the day of testing. (Cards can be obtained at NIPSTA www.nipsta.com, Triton College www.triton.edu/power, or Joliet Junior College 815-280-2674)
