About the Park Ridge Police Department:

The Park Ridge Police Department consists of 55 full-time sworn officers and 22 civilian staff members. As a state-accredited agency, the department embraces a community-based policing philosophy and provides continual training to support career development and specialized assignments. Officers have the opportunity to work in various roles, including:

• Patrol Officer (12-hour shifts)
• Detective
• Evidence Technician
• Range Officer
• Motorcycle/Bicycle Patrol
• Juvenile & Traffic Officer
• School Resource Officer
• Task Force Assignments (Major Case Assistance Team, Northern Illinois Police Alarm System) 

All officers receive Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, and rank advancement opportunities include Sergeant, Commander, and Deputy Chief.
