Salary:

• Starting with 3 years experience:

  Step 3: $76,114.73 + ($3,512.98 with 8 extra scheduled hours per month/ 12 hour shifts), totaling $79,627.71

  • Step 4: $79,434.96 + $3,666.23 total = $83,101.19
  • Step 5: $81,869.43 + $3,778.59 total = $85,648.02
  • 10 year: 5% longevity increase over then salary
  • 20 year: 5% longevity increase over then salary 

  As of 05/01/2027:

  • New contract beginning 5/1/2027 

  Competitive increases anticipated with the addition of the Southland Wind Creek Casino to the village.

  Benefits:

Position Details

To be eligible for a lateral transfer, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be a certified law enforcement officer
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
