Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Village of Fox River Grove seeks qualified candidates for a part-time Police Records Clerk position with the Fox River Grove Police Department.

The position provides support within the Police Department and includes a variety of police record related and administrative work assignments.  The position requires a self-motivated and dependable individual who is organized, flexible, detail oriented, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and following procedures.  The position requires strong communication skills and exceptional customer service abilities, with regular interaction with Village staff, senior management, police officers, and the public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform a variety of police records related functions that may change on a daily basis.
• Enter data, scan documents, and maintain police records and administrative files.
• Answer telephones and provide assistance to the public and internal staff.
• Provide clerical and administrative support for Police Department operations and processes.
• Interact daily with police officers, Village staff, senior management, and the public.
• Follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Some data entry experience required.
• Administrative and or secretarial experience preferred.
• Experience working with or familiarity with municipal police department operations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
