The Village of Huntley is seeking an organized and motivated Police Records Clerk who excels in using technology to manage information efficiently and accurately. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with databases, digital records, and modern communication tools while providing exceptional customer service to both the public and internal departments.
Under the general supervision of the Records Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of routine, complex, and confidential clerical duties related to the maintenance of Police Department records, including, but not limited to, maintaining and updating reports in the Department’s records management system, compiling and entering data of criminal incidents, answering telephone calls and routing calls appropriately, and composing basic correspondence. This position involves extensive public contact and serves as the public’s first point of contact with the Police Department via phone, in person, and online.

Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certifications being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
Hours:
Full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours per week. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Post Offer Requirements:
Successful completion of a post-offer background check is required.
