NOW HIRING PART-TIME POLICE DESK ATTENDANT

Join our Amazing Team! 

The City of Park Ridge is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our Police Department as a Desk Attendant.

This position plays a critical role in providing operational and administrative support to the department, while also delivering responsive, courteous, and efficient customer service to the public.

This part-time role requires availability on weekends and holidays, with additional coverage during the week as needed. All new hires will undergo weekday training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact at the police desk, greeting and assisting visitors and callers.
• Monitor City Hall and prisoner cell access using video surveillance systems.
• Communicate relevant updates between shifts and assist field personnel with requests for information.
• Utilize Cook County CAD, LEADS, and other systems to retrieve, monitor, and forward incident-related data.
• Complete basic police reports and maintain organized departmental files and records.
• Activate emergency alert systems such as the weather warning siren when directed.
