Position Details

The Board of Fire and Police Commission of the Village of Midlothian, Illinois is accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer with the Midlothian Police Department.

All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements established by the Village of Midlothian:

U.S. citizenship;
Valid driver's license;
Must be at least 21 years of age and be under the age of 35 at the time of hire (or meet the exemption set forth in the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Act of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (65 ILCS5/10-2.1-6);
High school diploma or GED equivalent;
Be of good moral character and sound health;
Have no criminal convictions or court supervisions for criminal offenses;
Have the ability to read and write English;
Pass a physical agility test, written test, polygraph examination, psychological examination, medical evaluation and pre-employment background investigation;
Applicants that are offered a position of employment as a full-time police officer MUST have a POWER Card
