The Human Resources Department of the Village of Addison is accepting applications to fill one (1) vacancy in the at-will, F.L.S.A non-exempt, part-time position of Part-time Alarm Operator in the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center, Village of Addison, Police Department.
This is an entry-level secretarial classification working under direct supervision within the Village processing incoming non-emergency telephone calls, processing alarm functions, entering data into C.A.D. as well as working with various office software.
Incumbents in this classification may also perform routine and non-routine duties with a variety of related tasks in the Police Department. The distinguishing characteristics of this classification may include responsibility for performing general secretarial and clerical support duties requiring some independent judgment and initiative at times, and knowledge of the operating policies and procedures of the assigned section.
Work is reviewed for progress and conformance to established procedures by the Director of the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center or his/her designee. Work-hours may vary week-to- week and are not predictable.
