APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at the time of the written examination, unless the candidate qualifies for an exemption as a veteran and/or firefighter as provided by state statutes.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver's license at time of appointment.
• Illinois licensed or National Registry EMT-P, at time of written examination.
• Candidates that do not possess Basic Operations Firefighter or Firefighter 2 certification will be sent through the academy at no cost.
• Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) Certificate that includes ladder climb, at time of hire (not dated more than 12 months) 

MANDATORY ORIENTATION AND WRITTEN EXAMINATION:

Saturday, April 12, 2025

The sign in process will start at 9:00 AM and the Orientation will start at 9:30 AM.

The Written Examination will follow immediately after the Orientation.

A photo I.D. with signature will be required for your admission into the Orientation.
