• $59,013 - $76,213.56 + Incentives (Top out wage $101,873) 

  Starting:

  Entry Level - FF/PM: $59,013

  Lateral - FF/PM: (Non-Illinois certified will be sent to the Illinois Fire Academy)

  • 1-2 years of FULL TIME FF/PM experience - $69,984.85
  • 2+ years of FULL TIME FF/PM experience - $76,213.56

Position Details

IMMEDIATE HIRES - UP TO 5 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Department Overview:

The department is comprised of (25) career fire personnel. Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Inspector, (3) Captains, (3) Lieutenants and FF/PM's. Some are assigned to the Haz Mat team, Technical Rescue and Arson team. The department averages 3500 emergency runs per year. (6) minimum is the daily shift staffing. The engine is staffed with (4) which responds auto-aid to neighboring departments like Maywood, Hillside, North Riverside and Bellwood.

Additional Preference Points given for:

• Proviso Township residency (proof of the last 12 months)
• BOF
• Paramedic 

New Vehicles on order:

• Pierce Rescue Pumper to be delivered 2024
• Osage Ambulance to be delivered 2025
