Three Immediate Openings for Firefighter/Paramedics

Firefighter Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• No felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions (70 ILCS 705/16.06)
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute (70ILCS 705/16.06B (C)
• Must have completed the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) and Ladder Climb Exercise within one year before the written exam deadline (8/02/2024). Certifications are considered valid if issued 08/02/2023-08/02/2024
• IDPH Paramedic License or National Registry at time of hire

Mandatory:

You must register with the National Testing Network, submit your application, and complete the Fire Team Exam by the closing date.

Testing:

The Village of Villa Park offers full testing services for this position through the National Testing Network (NTN).

1. Complete the registration process and schedule your test.

Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are forwarded to the Village. Candidates who submit a complete employment application and pass the entry-level exam will be placed on Villa Park's initial eligibility list. The Village will contact candidates on the list and will invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process.
