Training Supervisor

QuadCom is a multi-jurisdictional Police/Fire/9-1-1 Dispatch Center that provides emergency communications to ten police and fire departments/protection districts located in northern Kane County, Illinois. QuadCom also serves as the primary dispatch center for MABAS Division 2.

A training supervisor works with the management team to evaluate current processes, implement new systems, and strategize for the future. The supervisor will also work as a telecommunicator on the floor, train new hires, develop monthly continuing education training, track certifications, oversee the workflow in the communications room, and attend communications-related meetings outside of the scheduled shift as necessary.

Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can obtain and maintain required certifications
• Reside within 35 miles of QuadCom within one year of employment

Preferred:

• Certified Training Operator Certification
• Supervisory experience (shift supervisor, team lead, OIC, acting supervisor, etc).
• Organizational skills 

Pre-employment Process:

The successful candidate must pass an oral interview before a panel of Public Safety Professionals, pass the Director's review, and is subject to a background investigation and psychological exam. Any job offers may be contingent upon a physical examination, including a drug screen and hearing test.
