Notice of Police Department In The Village of Rockdale

County of Will, State of Illinois

The Rockdale Police Department will be accepting applications for part-time police officer, certified and non-certified.

Applications are available starting October 9, 2023 at:

Rockdale Village Hall

79 Moen Avenue

Rockdale, IL

9:00 AM until 5:00 PM

Monday through Friday

If you have previously completed an application, and were considered for part-time police officer then you would need to complete another application to be considered for this round of hiring.

Duties:

• Enforcing traffic, criminal laws and local ordinances
• Provide emergency response as needed (calls for service, traffic crashes, etc.)
• Complete reports
• Handle any and all other duties assigned as well as attending court when required

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be of good moral character, sound health, and no criminal convictions or court supervision for offenses criminal in nature. Must be able to read and write the English language, must possess a valid driver’s license without record of suspension or revocation in any state.

If you are not a certified police officer we will send you to the part-time academy.

There is also the possibility of moving up to full-time in the future.

APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED IF COMPLETED CORRECTLY AND COMPLETELY. AN INCOMPLETE APPLICATION IS THE NUMER 1 REASON THAT APPLICANTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT.
