MANAGEMENT ANALYST – FIRE DEPARTMENT

About the Community:

Elk Grove Village, Illinois (pop. 33,127), a strategically located, progressive community home to the largest consolidated business park in North America, is seeking candidates for the position of Management Analyst in the Fire Department. Elk Grove Village is located in Cook and DuPage Counties adjacent to O’Hare International Airport and is home to approximately 3,600 businesses in its 5.4 square mile Business Park.  The Village of Elk Grove Village has surpassed being “The Most Business Friendly Community in America” to now being “Beyond Business Friendly.”

Position Summary:

The Fire Department is responsible for handling fire, rescue, and emergency medical incidents. We are a full-time, accredited department with 98 members, averaging 6,200 calls a year.  In addition to emergency responses, the Fire Department educates the public on fire/life safety matters and provides inspectional services to ensure building design, construction, and maintenance follow established applicable codes.  The Department serves as first responders in emergency operations and responds to community needs 24/7.

The Management Analyst ensures that timely and accurate information on Department operations is made available to the Fire Chief. This position provides a variety of administrative support, including detailed research, identifying and analyzing statistical data, establishing and monitoring budget items, and procurement of goods and services.
