Position Details

The Village is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the role of Clinical Social Worker in the Police Department.

Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, the Clinical Social Worker provides social service assistance through crisis intervention, consultation, and follow-up counseling to the Police Department and community. This position also handles court advocacy with victims of crimes, case management and 24-hour support in handling critical incidents and/or traumatic events as needed.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social work, counseling or related field and two two-three years of related experience in crisis response and intervention services required.
• Must have a minimum of Licensed Social Worker (LSW) certification or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) for the State of Illinois preferred.
• Must possess State of Illinois class D driver’s license.
