Position Details

The Village Of Annawan in partnership with the Annawan School District has created the School Resource Officer position with the Village of Annawan Police Department.

This is a full time position where the officer will be assigned to the Annawan during the school year and will assist the Chief of Police when school is not in session.

This position will involve various duties including:

• Conducting investigations
• Public speaking
• Assisting the school administration 

Requirements:

• Either a certified Illinois Police Officer or the ability to obtain Illinois Certification
• Investigative experience preferred but not required
• Ability and experience in completing written reports
• Juvenile experience preferred but not required
• Ability to speak publicly
• Familiar with active shooter training/policies preferred but not required
