Minimum Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident
Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 at the time of application
Have a High School diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid Illinois driver's license
No felony convictions
Meet other criteria as established by the Fire and Police Commission
Compensation/Salary:
The salary range for City of Batavia Police Officers is:
$57,752 (starting salary) to $78,752 after 6 years
Individuals who have one (1) to two (2) years' experience, start at the one (1) year base pay of $60,255
Over two (2) years' experience start at the two (2) year base pay of $63,670
Benefits:
Two weeks vacation after one year, 1 week after 6 months
Furnished Uniform Upon Hiring/Uniform Allowance Thereafter
10 paid holidays per year
