Position Details

The Village of Manhattan, IL is accepting applications for full-time lateral transfer police officers.

Currently, there are two vacant positions.

Only applicants meeting the following requirements will be considered:

• Legal resident of the United States
• Certified Police Officer by the ILETSB
• Currently or recently employed by law enforcement agency in good standing
• Must be 23 years old
• High School Graduate
• 30 Semester Hours of College Credit
• Valid Class D Driver's License
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• Must be able to perform the duties of a police officer
• Must exhibit good moral character and have not been convicted of any felony or certain misdemeanors which would preclude you from being a police officer in the State of Illinois
• Candidates will be required to interview with the Police Commission and complete all required screenings including:
• Polygraph
• Psychological
• Medical
