PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER HIRING IN THE VILLAGE OF DAVIS, COUNTY OF STEPHENSON, STATE OF ILLINOIS
The Village of Davis is accepting applications for the position of part-time police officer.
DUTIES:
Enforcing traffic, criminal laws and local ordinances
Provide emergency response as needed (calls for service, traffic crashes, etc.)
Complete reports
Handle any and all other duties assigned as well as attending court when required
Police Officers conduct preventive patrol and general policing functions to protect the health, safety, and welfare of lives and property within the Village
Officers provide initial response to emergency and non-emergency service requests, investigate complaints, document investigation findings, enforce laws and ordinances, complete reports, and provide a wide range of public service activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
U.S. citizenship
No felony convictions (or any misdemeanor conviction involving moral turpitude)
Valid driver's license (without record of suspension or revocation in any state)
Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be a Certified Police Officer, State of Illinois (full or part-time)
Ability to work overnight, weekends, evenings, and holidays
Minimum staffing hours per month
Good moral character, sound health
Must be able to read and write the English language
Ability to stay current with all training requirements through ILETSB
