Firefighter/Paramedic

Applicants must:

• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Be at least 20 and up to 35 years of age on or before the last day of applications are due
• Possess a current CPAT with ladder testing (within the last 12 months)
• Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Be an Illinois Certified Paramedic or an EMT-B currently enrolled in a paramedic class in good standing (proof will be needed), or a Nationally Registered Paramedic if applying from outside the State of Illinois
• Be a certified Firefighter II or a Basic Operations Firefighter from the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal, or have a certificate of completion from the Basic Operations Firefighter from the Illinois Fire Service Institute, or the Northern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy, or the Romeoville Fire Academy, or from a Illinois Community College that offers a Basic Operations Firefighter program,  or the equivalent of the NFPA Firefighter I (for out of state applicants)

Applicants with incomplete applications will not be allowed to take part in the testing process.
