Position Details

Our park district is the third largest in the state, and we have also won the award for" Best Park District in the Nation" three times! With close to 5000 acres, over 180 parks and facilities, and over 56 miles of trails and paths, come and help us provide a quality of life for our community and have a great time while doing so!

The Rockford Park District Police Department is looking to establish a list to fill current vacancies in addition to the expectation of filling newly created officer positions in the coming months!

Applications:

Must be received no later than 5:00 PM on 9/30/2022.

The first phase testing process will consist of:

• A written exam
• State of Illinois POWER test 

Upon successful completion of those tests, interviews will be scheduled. NIPSTA cards are accepted by our department.

Again, if you do not show up, you are not eligible to proceed through the testing process.

The testing day and time will be given at the orientation.
