Position Details

IMMEDIATE VACANCIES

The Lockport Board of Police Commissioners (BOPC) is soliciting applications for police officer positions from Illinois certified law enforcement officers.

Requirements:

• Current certification as a full time law enforcement officer by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within the last 3 years with an Illinois municipal, county, state, or federal law enforcement agency.
• In good standing with current law enforcement agency employer or upon departure from such an agency within the past 3 years.
• Age 23-40.
• Upon hiring: field training program and 18 month probationary period.

Position:

Initial patrol position and subsequent opportunities for several secondments to federal, state, and regional agencies, and specialized functions within the Lockport Police Department.
