The Village of Itasca, Illinois is seeking two experienced part-time Police Records Assistants.
The Records Assistant is a civilian employee under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of Administration. The position is responsible for the processing and filing of all police reports, traffic citations, and municipal ordinance violations in the Village of Itasca. The Records Assistant is expected to perform in a courteous and professional manner in all dealing with the public, department personnel, and to comply with the orders, policies, procedures, and rules and regulations of the department.
Preferred candidates will have experience in working in a police department in the Records Division.
Applicants must, within the first year of employment become a State Certified LEADS Operator.
The part-time positions works up to 28 hours a week during the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM as determined by the needs of the department.
