Salary:

• Entry Level Starting: $62,470.68 (Holiday pay $5,045.70)

  Top patrol salary end of current contract: $94,958.83 (Holiday pay $7,669.75)

  Lateral:

  • 2 years - $70,013.52 (Holiday pay $5,654.88)
  • 3 years - $70,765.60 (Holiday pay $5,715.68)

  14 Paid Holidays in addition to salary.

Hiring Full Time Police Officer Entry Level / Lateral Hire

Hiring Requirements include the following:

• Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at the time of the written exam.
• No felony conviction(s) per preliminary criminal history check.
• Must be able to meet vision standard at the time of appointment.
• Must be correctable to 20/20.
• Valid Firearm Owner Identification card, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must possess a valid Police Officer Physical Ability certification (POWER) card due by September 27, 2024. Certifications will be considered valid within one (1) year of issuance date. 

Lateral Applicants:

Qualifications:

• Must be certified full time police officer and have minimum of 2 years of experience out of the last 5 employed as a full-time police officer in another jurisdiction.
• Applicant must be at least 23 years of age and under 45 years, military exemptions exist with further inquiry.
• Applicants will be contacted after review of application for interview date, No written test required, No POWER Card required.
