**Minimum hiring requirement of Basic Operations Firefighter/FF II and EMT – B

Minimum Requirements:

• United States Citizenship
• No felony convictions
• Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License
• High school diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Must be 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by State Statute
• Illinois OSFM Firefighter II/Basic Operations Firefighter Certificate
• Must currently possess a valid IDPH or National EMT – Basic license to apply
• A valid IDPH Paramedic license is due within 12 months of hire and required in order to complete probation
• Valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card and approved Ladder Climb card due at time of hire
