Starting: $86,210.05 - $115,826.20 (dependent on years of service and corresponding step in the CBA)

Candidates who are currently employed as Police Officers can easily apply for a position with the Wheaton Police Department by entering our Lateral/Accelerated Process.

Once completed, these packets must be turned in either in-person or by certified mail to the Human Resources Department at City Hall. No electronic submissions will be allowed.
Applications are accepted year-round and candidates are eligible for appointment for up to two years following their successful passing of an oral interview with the Wheaton Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
