Position Details

Applicant Must:

Have been employed as a full-time sworn officer of a recognized police department by the Illinois Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) in any municipality, county, university or state law enforcement agency within the State of Illinois and have been with their respective law enforcement agency within the State for at least 2 years, may apply for a lateral entry position who meet the following criteria:

• Certification from ILETSB and submittal of proof thereof;
• Previous service as a police officer in any Illinois municipality, county, university or state law enforcement agency within the State of Illinois; and,
• In good standing when serving as a police officer and no adverse employment action.
