Position Details

The Middleton Police Department is seeking motivated team-oriented candidates who are looking for a challenging but rewarding career in law enforcement.

We will provide all necessary training, so no prior experience is necessary.

We are also accepting applications for lateral transfers for those candidates who are already certified law enforcement officers. Lateral candidates may be eligible to enter at a higher pay and a signing bonus.

Education, Training and Experience:

Education:

• Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sixty (60) college credits from an accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum of a "C" average within 5 years of employment.
• Associate's Degree preferred,  Bachelor's Degree or greater in Criminal Justice or related field highly preferred.

Training:

• Any additional requirements as established by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board or Middleton Police Commission.

Experience/Other:

• Required:
• United States Citizenship by time of appointment.
• Eighteen (18) years of Age by time of appointment.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions for which you have not been granted an absolute and unconditional pardon.
