Position Details

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time

* Part-time positions will only be available for people with previous experience in 911.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Schedule flexibility, must have the ability to work any shift as assigned, weekends and holidays
• Must be of strong moral and ethical character
• Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
• Proficient in the English language including the proper usage, spelling, punctuation and grammar
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instruction
• Must demonstrate ability accurately to type forty (40) words per minute 

Must be able to successfully pass: 

• Thorough background investigation
• Medical exam
• Drug screening 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A strong candidate will also have experience in the following areas:

• Police, Fire and EMS dispatch experience
• Post-secondary degree in public safety or related field
• Knowledge of public safety communications systems including, CAD, 911, radio, digital loggers, etc.
• Computer/data entry experience
• Multi-line telephone equipment
• Customer service
• Foreign language skills in Spanish or other desired language
