The Gurnee, IL Police Communications Center provides 24 hour emergency and non-emergency communications support as a consolidated communication center for multiple agencies including: Gurnee Police; Gurnee Fire; Zion Police; Zion Fire; Newport Fire Protection District; and Beach Park Fire Department. The Gurnee Police Communications Center responds to over 145,000 emergency and non-emergency telephone calls per year and dispatches over 100,000 police calls and 14,000 Fire/EMS calls annually.

Priority interview consideration will be given to qualified candidates who have successfully completed and passed all required testing and submitted the application by February 22, 2023.
Eligible candidates may be offered a separate “sit in” and peer interview in our Emergency Communications Center.
If selected for the position, post-offer contingencies include a background check, medical examinations and drug screen.
