Shift Supervisor

QuadCom is a multi-jurisdictional, Police/Fire/9-1-1 Dispatch Center that provides emergency communications to ten police and fire departments/protection districts located in northern Kane County, Illinois. QuadCom also serves as the primary dispatch center for MABAS Division 2.

A supervisor works with the management team to evaluate current processes, implement new systems, and strategize for the future. Supervisors will work as a telecommunicator while monitoring the performance of employees during the shift, directing, and overseeing the workflow in the communications room, enforcing standard operating procedures, monthly employee quality assurance reviews of their assigned shift, and attending communications related meetings outside of the scheduled shift as necessary.

Requirements:

• Currently a supervisor at a 911 center or 5 years of dispatch experience at a 911 center
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can obtain and maintain required certifications
• Reside within 35 miles of QuadCom within one year of employment

Pre-employment Process:

The successful candidate must pass an online assessment, complete a set of essay questions, have an oral interview before a panel of Public Safety Professionals, pass the Director's review, and is subject to a background investigation and psychological exam. Any job offers are contingent upon a physical examination including a drug screen and hearing test.
