Current salary range for this position is $52,873 ($25.42/hour) - $70,928 ($34.10/hour) within seven consecutive anniversary step increases in addition to annual Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA) per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Experienced 9-1-1 Telecommunicators may be eligible to start at a higher pay scale. This is dependent on review of experience, qualifications, and previous employer employee evaluation.

The E-COM 9-1-1 Dispatch Center is a consolidated, multi-jurisdictional emergency communications center located in Homewood, IL serving the Villages of Country Club Hills Police Department, East Hazel Crest, Flossmoor, Glenwood, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Riverdale, South Holland, and Thornton.
Duties include but are not limited to the primary function of a Telecommunicator (TC) is to answer emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and information.
Telecommunicators may be subject to stressful and emotional situations. Telecommunicators must work varying hours, including night, weekend and/or holiday shifts in a 24-hour environment. The current 40-hour work week is based on an eight-hour shift depending on coverage with two combined days off and shifts beginning at either 7:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Shift schedules may change on two-month intervals or placement on a permanent shift for the calendar year.
