Bolingbrook Police Department-Entry Level

The Bolingbrook Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer until February 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. for entry level applicants who are not current law enforcement officers.

See below lateral hire information if you are already a police officer.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:

• $40.00 non-refundable application fee;
• High school diploma or GED and 60 semester hours of credit from an accredited institution at time of hire, some military exceptions apply;
• 21 years old by date of hire; maximum age of under 35 years at time of appointment (unless otherwise exempt by Illinois Statute);
• U.S. Citizenship;
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Valid Illinois Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card at time of background phase;
• Applicants must submit proof of passing the POWER Test at the written exam date (March 11, 2023) Only certifications after August 1, 2022 are accepted.

• Vision correctable to 20/20 in both eyes;
