The Lynwood Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer from July 12, 2022 through August 22, 2022.

Written Test:

August 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM

Hiring Requirements include the following:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen at the time of appointment.
• Must be willing to reside within 25 miles of the village limits.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license or out-of-state driver's license.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at the time of written exam.
• No felony conviction(s) per preliminary criminal check.
• Must be able to meet vision standard at the time of appointment. Must be correctable to 20/20.
• Valid Firearm Owner Identification card, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must possess a valid Police Officer Physical Ability Test certification (Power) card. Certifications will be considered valid within one (1) year of issuance date.
