Leyden Fire Protection District Accepting Applications for Firefighter

The department is planning to hire one candidate right away with the possibility of a 2nd.

Please be sure to carefully review all application instructions and testing information. 

Firefighter Application Instructions:

• Carefully review the minimum requirements in the application packet. All requirements must be met by the specified deadline, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.
• When you have finished the application, you will receive a CONFIRMATION NUMBER. Save this number for your records.
• In addition to the online application, applicants must mail/ship (email not accepted) or hand deliver release form and required documents:
• MAIL/HAND-DELIVERY – Gather all required documents, sign and print release form(s) and place all documents into an envelope. Mail/ship envelope via traceable carrier (FedEx, UPS, etc.) or hand-deliver to:

Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on:

Sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and close at 9:00 a.m. You will be required to bring a #2 pencil and photo identification (driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID) to sign-in. The written exam will immediately follow orientation
