In support of the health and safety of our organization, the United Center, and recent NBA and NHL league directives, all At Your Service Team Members will be required to submit proof of being fully vaccinated in order to work at the United Center, with limited exceptions as may be required by law.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safety and security of each guest at events held at the United Center.
Specific Duties:
- Promote a family atmosphere, guest enjoyment and safety
- Visual search of guests and guests’ bags for prohibited items prior to admittance into facilities
- Respond to exterior and interior radio calls
- Roam assigned concourse and seating sections for policy enforcement and crowd management
- Check credentials in restricted-access areas
- Monitor concourses and keep aisles and emergency exits clear at all times
- Have complete knowledge of all facility policies and services
- Be aware of safety hazards and reporting them appropriately
- Assist guests with ticket problems such as duplicate, unreadable, wrong date and/or lost/stolen tickets
- Handling guest problems/complaints and directing them to a team leader or Guest Relations Booth if unable to accommodate
- Documenting and reporting all incidents to a team leader
- Miscellaneous operational (day of event) duties as directed
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
- Active member of the police force or retired in good standing
- Flexible work schedule including evening and weekend hours
- Average work hours will total 20 hours per week
- Must be a positive, outgoing individual able to work well with large groups of people
- Excellent verbal communication skills and decision-making ability
Experience:
- Active member of the police force or retired in good standing
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent background
