Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Be at least 20 and not yet 35 at the time of appointment
• HS diploma/GED required
• Be physically fit and have good vision
• Be a citizen of the U.S.
• No felony convictions & pass background check
• Pass agility, written, and oral examinations
• Police Officers must have at least 30 credit hours of course work from an accredited college by the time of appointment 

The probationary period is 18 months for Police Officers.
