Job Description
 

The Refinery Terminal Fire Company, a private industrial fire department, is looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who desire a flexible and challenging work environment, can make sound decisions under emergency conditions, and are willing to learn and grow as we do. This position requires the incumbent to train for and participate in duties and related responsibilities of an emergency and/or hazardous nature in refinery fire suppression and emergency operations.

Requirement(s)
 

*18 years of age
*Possess High School Diploma or State recognized equivalent
*Valid driver’s license with good driving record
*State certification or National Registry as an EMT-B
*US citizen or permanent resident alien

Successful candidates must pass a job-related physical ability test, an entry-level Written exam, an oral interview, a thorough investigation and evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and background, a medial examination and drug screen.

Must be able to work a twelve (12) or twenty-four (24) hour fire service shift schedule, weekends and holidays. In order to maintain minimum staff levels, complete assignments or provide emergency service delivery, unscheduled overtime could be required.

The Refinery Terminal Fire Company’s entry level annual salary for Firefighter Trainee is $30,000.00 with a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, sick leave, holidays, Pension plan, 401(K), Medical and Dental insurance and more.

The Physical agility test and entry level Firefighter Written Test is scheduled for December 5, 6, & 7, 2003.
