Testing Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen between the ages of 21 and 35. (A person 36 years of age or older is not eligible for a beginning position as a Firefighter) AND

  • Have a High School diploma/GED AND

  • Possession of a Texas Paramedic Certification or License OR a National Registry Paramedic Certificate or License

 

You must provide the following documentation at time of application or before the application deadline:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate demonstrating U.S. Citizenship

  • Copy of High School diploma/GED

  • Copy of Texas Paramedic Certification or License OR National Paramedic Certificate or License

  • (Optional) Copy of Form DD-214 with Honorable Discharge - Applicants, if ever in the military, will receive 5 points added to their raw test score provided they submit a DD-214 stating an Honorable Discharge
