Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or closely related area and experience of five years progressive general management with an emphasis placed on broad-based analytical and program evaluation activities within a large public agency desired.
 

Responsibilities:

The City of Arlington, Texas (pop.359,814) is seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as the Management Services Director to assist the Police Chief in directing, planning, evaluating, and managing the functions of crime analysis, maintaining Accreditation status, planning and research, information technology, processing and maintaining property and evidence, budget preparation and monitoring, records processing and management, and professional administrative support. The City of Arlington is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, with a Police Department annual budget of $66,010,369 and 566 sworn and 185 civilian employees.
