The New Rochelle Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

REQUIREMENTS; Must be 19 to apply & not more than 35 by date of written exam. By appointment: US Citizen, Valid NYS Drivers License.
EDUCATION: 60 college credits or 30 credits + 2 yrs active military duty by end of probationary period. HS grad may take test.
RESIDENCY: Must be legal resident of Westchester, Putnam, Rockland or Nassau County, or the 5 boroughs. Preference in appointment may be given to successful candidates who are New Rochelle residents for at least 4 months prior to written test.
FILING PROCEDURE: APPLICANTS MUST FILE IN PERSON with proper I.D. and documents to prove residency, i.e., cable, phone, Con Ed bill.
Applications at City Hall 515 North Avenue, Civil Service Office, 9 to 4 p.m. (open to 8 p.m. on Oct. 21), NR Police Dept. NR Library, Housing Authority, 95 and 33 Lincoln Avenue, St. Gabriel's Church or send legal size, stamped, self-addressed envelope to above address.
APPLICATIONS NOT ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE $25.00 FEE. POLICE OFFICER (SPANISH SPEAKING): Pass the written exam and Spanish speaking test given later.
