The Town of Guilderland is accepting letters of interest and resumes from candidates interested in applying for the position of Police Chief.

Civil Service rules require that the successful candidate:

• Seek a lateral transfer as a police chief from another agency or

• Is a person with 5 full years of experience supervising police officers, of which two years of administrative supervision (lieutenant, captain, or its equivalent in the law enforcement profession) is required

Acceptance of transfer is contingent upon Albany County Civil Service approval.
