What is Northern Nevada F.I.R.E.? Northern Nevada Firefighter Interagency Recruitment and Examination is a screening and testing program sponsored by a consortium of Northern Nevada Fire Departments designed to test and select firefighters and firefighter/paramedics. The program uses standard testing procedures for entry level firefighters and firefighter/paramedics.
The consortium is administered by the collaborative efforts of the Human Resource and fire departments of Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, Central Lyon County Fire Protection Districts, Storey County Fire Department, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, and the Carson City Fire Department.
What is the goal of Northern Nevada F.I.R.E.? To recruit, test, select, and train the most qualified applicants for employment within the consortium of fire departments.
Do you need to finish your degree?
Master of Science Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership A Master of Science in Executive Fire Service Leadership degree at Grand Canyon University will provide you with the necessary skills to pursue or enhance your career. This degree is offered entirely online, and offers you the benefit of fitting your education into your schedule. All MSEFSL courses are facilitated by doctorate-professors who possess first-hand knowledge and experience in the fire service / emergency management fields.
