Applicants must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Skills preferred include keyboarding a minimum of 35 WPM, clear telephone/radio voice, and the ability to perform multiple tasks tactfully and proficiently under pressure.
Applicants must have knowledge of street names and locations in the city of Joplin and the ability to work well with all levels of management and the general public. Must be available for shift work and rotation; flexibility for overtime assignments and on-call as needed. Applicants must be a high school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. A profile evaluation test and a typing test will be given.
Starting wage is $11.05 per hour, with excellent benefits.
An extensive pre-employment background check will be performed, and successful applicant must be certified to operate the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System within one year of employment. Prefer APCO Project 33 and EMD certified.
