The City of Olathe, Kansas is seeking qualified individuals to enforce federal, state, and local laws; aid citizens, investigate crimes, and traffic accidents.  Must have above average written and verbal communication skills. 

Requirements:

• Requires a HS Diploma/GED

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Have correctable vision 20/20

• No felony convictions

• Be able to pass a written test, oral board, background investigation, polygraph, psychological exam, and physical agility test 

• Must provide all required documentation to be considered for this process 

• Within 1 year from date of employment must reside within a 30 mile radius of the Olathe Police Department
   

Starting salary $33,750/yr - $39,483/yr, DOQ and experience.  Applicants who are certified with Patrol experience may be credited with up to 5 years experience in determining a starting salary.  Applicants who do not have patrol experience will receive a $1500.00 bonus upon successful completion of the Field Training Program.

The written and physical agility tests have been scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, 2004.
