Woodstock, thriving historic seat of McHenry County, 60 miles NW of Chicago on Metra rail line, seeks dedicated public servants for establishment of Patrol Officer Eligibility List.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 21-34 years of age (age exemption for experienced officers)

US citizen

HS graduate or equivalent

Valid driver's license and good record

No felony convictions

Preference points awarded for a bachelor's degree; for associate's degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, fire service or emergency medical services; or for prior military service with honorable discharge.

All submitted applications require a $30 processing fee, payable by cash, check or money order and must be postmarked or delivered to Woodstock City Hall, 121 W. Calhoun St., by 5 p.m. Friday, 7-3-09. Mandatory orientation/testing in Woodstock on Saturday, 7-18-09.
