The Village of Woodridge (population 32,971) is seeking applicants to establish
an eligibility list for full-time Police Officers. We are a diverse community
seeking applicants who reflect our diversity. Hiring will begin immediately from
the Eligibility List once it is posted.
On-line application must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, May 22,
The mandatory orientation and written examination will be administered on
Saturday, June 24, 2017.
All applicants must meet the following minimum
requirements established by the Village of Woodridge:
$20.00 non-refundable application fee
Must be at least 21 years of age and under the
age of 35 as of May 22, 2017 unless exempt from age limitations as provided by
Binocular vision corrective to 20/30
No felony convictions
Valid Driverís License
Must be a US Citizen
Residency within 30 miles of corporate limits of the Village within six months
Education Requirement: At time of
filing an application for original appointment to the Police Department,
applicant must have attained an associateís degree or its equivalent number of
hours towards a bachelorís degree from an accredited college or university.
Exceptions: 1) Applicants who were engaged in active military service of
the United States for at least two years and honorably discharged, and 2)
Applicants who are certified full-time police officers in the State of
POWER Test Requirement:Applicants
must submit a current copy of POWER Test Card issued within the past year (as
of 5/22/17) from NIPSTA or qualifying college.
Attend Orientation & Written Examination (no exceptions) and pass all phases
of testing process
