• At least 21 years of age

• US Citizen

• Possess a high school diploma

• Valid D/L and satisfactory driving record

• Valid FOID card

• Completion of an approved State of Illinois basic recruit academy

• Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board certification as a police officer

• Pass an extensive background check, psychological exam, and medical exam including a drug screen

• Live within 25 miles of Wonder Lake

• Prior municipal policing experience
